We've made it to Friday! First of all I want to say a huge thank you to everyone who worked so hard to get their work done during the last week. I know working from home isn't ideal for anyone, but it was great to see such a supportive and positive attitude from all of the parents and kids.

Today's work is attached and is in keeping with what we have been doing. Hopefully it's enjoyable and not too much of a struggle for the Friday before Christmas.

We officially have a day and a half left next Monday and Tuesday. On Monday there will be a school mass broadcast live from Portlaoise church. I'll leave a link to that on Monday morning.

I won't be posting much work for those two days but if anyone wants to send on any work, photos or videos, I'll leave the homework open for replies.

I will also be sending a final video message on Monday or Tuesday which will appear in the noticeboard, so keep an eye out for that.

Thanks to those who sent on their favourite traditions. I learned about a lot of new traditions which I might start doing with my own family. The Elf on the Shelf is definitely a popular guy in 5th class. It was nice to see that a lot of you look forward to meeting family and taking time to enjoy each others company. As nice as they are, not one person mentioned presents, which really shows that all of you really value your family and friends more than anything else.

It's been a really great week from everyone and I'm very proud of all the children who made such an effort. Thanks again to all the parents. Everyone has done brilliantly and due a well deserved break. I'll be back next week with a few messages as I said, but until then have a lovely and safe weekend.
